Will the BM government or MILF be corrupt?
My personal take is that the MILF has not corrupted the government funds. Their money is not from the government. But since 911 and the consequential money flow monitoring (SWIFT program), the financial support of the international benefactors can hardly be received. So they have to invest in economic endeavors to sustain their operations. Everyday, thousands of people visit Darapanan. How can MILF serve them if they have no local fund sources. And buy bullets to 40 thousand forces? They are not perfect. But we are not looking at people here. We are looking at the cause of these people for the Bangsamoro. For us for whom they dedicated most of their lives protecting, we should be thankful. Soo thankful! Many of them died for us to achieve the BOL.
45 years ago, no Moro wants to be called datu or kagui for fear of death. That's why we adopt nicknames. During the term of Badoy in Cot City, they prohibit calling of Azan. The struggle of the MNLF AND MILF stopped this injustices. Need we say 400 plus years of colonial efforts? The struggle is the reason we are still respected as Bangsamoro.
There is no valid report saying the MILF is corrupt. Destroying the resources of the enemy is part of war. Govt and MILF are now friends, so no need to destroy its resources. MILF becomes part of the govt of the BM now! It has to spend transparently and accountably! BM is not a monopoly of MILF! There are MNLF, settlers, IPs, traditional leaders, and sectoral representatives.
Whoever leads the BM have to be careful because they are bringing the name of Islam, the justice to more than 120K dead, billions of damages, and 4 million watchful eyes. There are procurement law, electronic budgeting, 8888 hotline and many other anti corruption mechanisms. Moreover, the members of parliament and cabinet have no fixed term. Their rules are like a contractual service that hinges on satisfaction of the constituents.
Speaking of corruption of the ordinary people, anybody who is not paying taxes properly, selling their votes, or bribing an official to gain advantage is corrupt. Asking a lot of favors from politicians induces corruption.
The good position is to assume the good nature of man.
To stop corruption, we start it from ourselves. Stop asking favors from politicians. Pay tax, play fair and FEAR ALLAH.
